DropOldest

Remove the oldest non-system messages one by one until within budget.

SummarizeOldest

Replace the oldest non-system messages with a single summary placeholder.

KeepFirst

Keep the system prompt, the first n user/assistant turns, and fill the remainder with the most recent messages.
